From Marissa Chavez: Youth Outloud is a six-week-long intensive program that runs during the summer and serves low-income, mainly minority youth in the Delridge/White Center neighborhoods of south Seattle. The participants learn a wide variety of media techniques, including video, audio, photography, etc. The showcase will feature their PSA's, Final Projects, and other things they have produced throughout the course of the program.
This is a FREE event, open to the public, and will indeed have FREE FOOD.
Thus, you should come.
I've spent an entire summer with these kids and have watched as media has opened their eyes to new things they'd never have found if they hadn't done this program.
