"Crazy for You" August 7-17

From Jane Taylor at Twelfth Night Productions

Please join me and the rest of the cast at 12th Night Productions' summer musical, "Crazy For You'. Written in the early 90s, the show is a remake of the Judy Garland-Mickey Rooney movie "Girl Crazy" with an all Gershwin score. Joyous, rollicking, tap dancing fun - the typical boy meets girl despite protests of Mother, boy loses girl and pretends to be rich man to win her back, girl falls in love with rich man but realizes that she really loves boy...

The music is amazing - "I Got Rhythm", "Embraceable You", "Slap That Bass", "Cant' Be Bothered Now". Someone To Watch Over Me", "Naughty Baby", "Nice Work If You Can Get It"and more. The choreography is the best I've seen in this company - you just can't sustain a bad mood when you tap!

This time, I don't play the nasty mother. I actually have a very small part (one line), some funny business (I play the bartender) and get to do a little singing and dancing. Mostly, I'm just enjoying watching the other cast members, including our leads, who absolutely shine!

This show is so much fun, and completely family friendly. Come, bring friends, and bring kids, especially those who like to dance.
